Margaret Houston graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota and earned a Master of Education degree from Loyola University Chicago. She and her husband, Paul, moved to La Grange and joined St. Francis Xavier Parish in 2008. Her three children, Naomi, Timothy, and Will, attended St. Francis Xavier School and are now SFX alumni. Naomi graduated from the University of Alabama and is in her last semester at Lewis University for a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. Timothy graduated from Purdue University and now lives and works in Madison, Wisconsin. Will is a junior at Miami University of Ohio. Mr. Houston is the principal of a south suburban Catholic High School.
In 2013, after years of being an involved St. Francis parent volunteer, Mrs. Houston returned to a career in education and began working as the Coordinator for the former SFX East Campus. After seven years in that position, she thoroughly enjoyed spending time as a middle school teacher before her return to Early Childhood. She is delighted to be teaching PreKindergarten, to be part of the Early Childhood team, and the St. Francis Xavier family. Mrs. Houston enjoys gardening, visiting new places, and seeing live music and plays. This summer she enjoyed her first trip to Yellowstone!
